Like here in the UK, September is a month in transition. The central coast around Hue and Hoi starts off largely dry, but as the month develops the rainfall will slowly increase but still warm in the 30s°C. Nha Trang is probably the best beach destination at this time of the year to guarantee plenty of time on the beach.

Conditions in the north are moving in the opposite direction as it begins to dry up especially as we near the end of the month. By the end of September the hills of Sapa and Ha Giang can again be recommended as the rice terraces begin to change from green to yellow creating golden layers across the valleys. In the south expect afternoon rain with less frequency as the month matures.
