The north welcomes back the sun and temperatures start to drop to the mid-20s°C making this one of the best months to explore this region. The golden rice terraces of Sapa and Ha Giang signal that harvest season will soon be in full swing. The south too is starting to dry up especially in the 2nd half of the month, when the beaches of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet and Phu Quoc start to wake up the upcoming season.
The central belt of Hue and Hoi An is now in the grip of its wet season which removes the beach aspect but it’s still worth stopping off in both to explore the Citadel in Hue and enjoy the Old Town charm of Hoi An. A very popular touring month as you are just ahead of the crowds that will start to build in November.
