July, like June, is a mixed bag and it’s good to travel expecting some heavy afternoon rain in the north and south, but again nothing that should put you off touring and it will be hot throughout. Visits to the hill country around Sapa and Ha Giang aren’t recommended as the higher areas get the worst weather. Central Vietnam is still the best place to be, enjoying very warm days full of sunshine and little rain.
