November is understandably one the most popular months to tour Vietnam (and neighbouring countries) as the dry warm weather has firmly established itself in north and southern Vietnam. The beaches of the islands of Phu Quoc and Con Dao are at their best, with low humidity and an average temperature of 27°C. This is the wettest month on the central coast, but a short stop in Hue and Hoi An is still recommended.
If you’re interested in a Mekong River cruise this is the optimum month as water levels are still high whilst days should be largely dry. Off the beaten track the mountains of the north enjoy some of their best walking conditions and in Ha Giang the purple buckwheat flowers are in full bloom.
