One of the most popular questions we get asked is when is the best time to visit Vietnam, as the weather conditions vary so much from region to region. March is probably the answer, as during this month you have the best chance of a “Goldilocks moment” with warmth and little rain throughout your holiday.
In the north, whilst still generally on the cool side (average 19°C) in Hanoi, you can expect plenty of sunshine whilst cruising through Halong Bay. The central coast is entering the dry summer season with temperatures in Hoi An averaging over 25°C bringing it back as a possible beach destination. The south is still basking in its dry season with temperatures occasionally touching 30°C, so really you can’t go wrong.
