November is the wettest month of the year, but it also signals a change in the weather. On average the beginning of the month continues October’s theme of heavy intermittent rain countrywide, but as you totter towards December the weather should begin to settle down and sunshine starts to return especially in the south of the country.

The far north and east coast come off the menu as the northeast (“maha”) monsoon takes a grip and dries out the rest of the country. If you can travel towards the end of the month you can take advantage of cheaper hotel rates and airfares yet (hopefully) enjoy an improving picture. The best beach weather will be on the south coast.
