August is a tricky month as it’s impossible to promise wall to wall sunshine anywhere. If you stick to the main tourist centres then a great holiday can be enjoyed, but if you want to break out and for example hike the northern hills this isn’t recommended.

There’s no problem with the temperature as high 20s°C can be enjoyed throughout the country but heavy afternoon rain should be expected everywhere except on the east coast mainland and island beaches that hold on to the best weather until the end of the month.
