April is still dry throughout most of the country but it will be hot; very hot if you plan to be in Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya or Nong Khai, where we’d recommend that we break your touring into morning and late afternoon sections with a long lunch in between. Northern Thailand is also hot with temperatures well into the mid-30s°C and the air can be hazy as farmers burn their fields to clear them for the upcoming planting season.
By virtue of sea breeze the temperatures on the south coast beaches are less oppressive, around 30°C. The east coast beaches are now where you’ll find the best weather, but the west coast will only start to receive more organised heavy showers towards the end of the month.
