Introduction

Rocky's Boutique Resort is the ideal place to enjoy a genuinely relaxing and romantic holiday; small enough to be intimate, but with enough nooks and crannies to hide away, never far from the beautiful views over the three private beaches to the aquamarine sea. You soon get to know all the staff, whose hospitality is one of the cornerstones of the resort’s success. Staying here you can enjoy the best of both worlds, you’re secluded but not isolated, as there is a selection of restaurants and bars close by and the town of Lamai is just a mile or so away.

Facilities

The resort has 2 swimming pools, one along the beachfront and the other in the upper garden. Both have a large deck area where you can sit and relax, order a poolside snack or cocktail. The restaurant is perched on a large granite rock; relax and enjoy the locally inspired cuisine as you look out to sea, serenaded by the gentle waves and washed by any evening breeze. There is also a bistro restaurant overlooking the garden pool.

Rooms

The resort features 47 bungalows and 3 villas with private pools. All are well spaced offering a good degree of privacy with views of the lush tropical garden or down to the sea. All rooms are traditional Thai in style with teak furnishings and artworks from the north and are equipped with air-conditioning, safe, ceiling fan, minibar, TV/DVD, tea & coffee making facilities and a spacious bathroom and balcony.

Tongsai Bay

Overview

An established favourite, Tongsai Bay enjoys a prime beach side location in a private sandy bay, hidden amongst 25 acres of breath-taking natural beauty. Not one large tree was felled to build this family run hotel and this sensitivity and far sightedness is reflected in the quality of the furnishings, facilities and services. Facilities

The pool and beach area are no doubt where you’ll spend most of your day. The main free form fresh water pool is enormous and half way up the hill you’ll find the Half Moon pool for adults only. There’s also a separate children’s paddling pool. From the private beach you can enjoy the free water sports available - Hobie Cats, sailboats, windsurfers and Kayaks.

The dining options also make the most of the beautiful seaside location. Down on the beachfront you’ll find Po-Lad Beach Bistro & Bar that offers a range of Thai, Chinese and Western dishes for lunch and in the evening specialises in local seafood. On the outdoor terrace overlooking the bay and tropical gardens, Chef Chom’s serves fine Thai cuisine the ‘traditional way’. The Prana Spa is set amidst the tropical garden and provides a selection of therapeutic, healing and restorative treatments. Each spa cottage offers complete privacy and is equipped with two massage beds.

Rooms

The beautiful cottages and villas offer you a sitting area and a terrace or balcony with an open-air bath (except ground floor Beachfront Suites). To be close to the beach and pool, opt for a Beachfront Suite. Cottage Suites are higher up the hill; Seafront Cottage Suites have a superior sea view. Upgrade to either the Tongsai Grand Villas for a larger balcony or outdoor living area, the Tongsai Pool Villas for a private pool on the balcony, or a Seafront Pool Villa for superior sea views.
