Four Seasons Tented Camp

Hotel Grade: Super Deluxe Camp

Introduction

With Burma to the north and Laos to the east, the luxurious Four Seasons Tented Camp is nestled right in the top corner of Thailand close to Chiang Rai, amidst the mountains and rivers that make this part of the country so attractive. Arriving by river boat adds to feeling of adventure and as you walk up to the camp the panoramic views over the Ruak River, mountains and jungle show what a special place this is. The whole region is yours to explore: cruise the Mekong River, set out on jungle treks, settle down to bird watch or fish or spend the day mountain biking or sign up for a cookery class. It’s amazing that you can feel so adventurous whilst luxuriating in so much comfort!

Accommodation

Fern-lined pathways meander through the camp revealing 15 guest tents that are comfortably spaced out to allow for total privacy. Each features rich wooden floors, luxurious custom made furnishings and even a hand-wrought copper bath tub.

Facilities

Guests can relax around the free-form pool after a long day of activities or enjoy a traditional Thai massage and exotic spa treatment amid the bamboo forests of the San Valley. The Nong Yao restaurant specialises in cuisine from northern Thailand, as well Burmese and Lao regional dishes, in an open-air thatched pavilion, accompanied by wines from an impressive jungle cellar. As the sun sets the camp is lit by a hundred torches to help guests navigate between the Burma Bar at one end and the pool, spa and restaurant at the other. Atmospheric in the extreme.
